Restless sleep

Am I the only one having trouble with their sleep? I haven't had a good night of sleep since Saturday night. I have no problem going to sleep or staying sleep. The problem is I am not getting any rest. Let me explain. It's like I'm dreaming all night long. I can't remember the dreams, just that I had them.

And, of course, after I wake up, I feel like I haven't slept at all. *yawn*

I'm going to have some chamomille tea tonight and hopefully that will help. I know it's the excitement and nervousness of the marathon. That's how it usually goes when I have something big coming up. I can't sleep for days, except this time I really need to get some rest!

It's not the babies this time?? I figured I'm restless because I haven't hydrated enough post-race. I hope you'll get a good night's sleep tonight.

BTW, Will & I are driving to Chicago. We'll be at the Renaissance with everyone else.

I haven't been sleeping well in weeks, and have now even gone to the trouble of obtaining some Ambien (the legal way). I have been thinking that it's a combination of excitement/stress and my hormones (I'm working on that). We'll see if it settles down soon, but it's been very frustrating. I feel your pain (without the children).

Try advil before you go to bed. I am no expert though because I have the opposite problem. I can't NOT sleep!

I agree with everyone above. You might try an over-the-counter sleep aid and if that doesn't help, see your doctor for some temporary help like Ambien (it comes in generic now so it may even be cheaper than over-the-counter stuff). Once the excitement is over, you may be able to sleep without help. Not me though, I've been taking Ambien for a while now. But I hear insomnia comes with old age! LOL

I thought if you are dreaming hard you are getting REM sleep. Maybe you are sleeping better?? Good luck- I take one Tylenol pm. It lights out within 20minutes...
